It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Jerome H. Siegel who died on July 28th at the age of 92. Jerry graduated from the Medical College of Georgia with Honors; He was an author, world traveler, mentor and inspiration to scores of physicians, and most importantly beloved husband of 68 years to Beverly, father to Dori (Bill Frost) and Brian, grandfather to Erica, Jonathan, Jessica, brother to Donald and Alvin (deceased) and brother-in-law to Ellen, Ed and Nancy and Winston.
Jerry was a distinguished physician, devoted to his profession and his patients, Chief of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy at Beth Israel Medical Center NYC, a Pharmacist , flight surgeon in the US Air Force, and Senior Fellow in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Royal Free Hospital, London, England.
Jerry lived life with enthusiasm and wit. He loved to laugh, have a martini before dinner, read mysteries, go to theater and spend time with family and friends at his East Hampton and NYC homes. His was a life well lived and he will be missed by the family and all those who knew him.
