Joanne duPont Foster

Age 93; passed away on April 20th, 2024. Loving mother of Estee Lynch, and John Pleasants, grandmother of Ashley Lynch- Ford, Jack Pleasants, James Pleasants, and Josie Pleasants. Born on February 27, 1931 in Washington, D.C.,USA. Preceded in death by her husband Raymond C. Foster, Her son Rogers Pleasants Jr., and her sister, Elizabeth Strauss. She is survived by Estee Lynch, John Pleasants, Ashley Lynch-Ford, Jack Pleasants, James Pleasants, Josie Pleasants, and her many dear friends. Joanne was a connoisseur of the Arts, a lover of animals, and a loyal friend. She radiated kindness and grace. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Services on May 17th at 3:00 at St. James Episcopal Church at 865 Madison Ave Manhattan, 10021. A reception at her club to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the following dog rescues; Big Dog Haven, Operation Scarlet Shar Pei Rescue; or her favorites The Metropolitan Opera and the Frick Museum
