After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Biology at Notre Dame College for Women, Staten Island (now St. John’s University), she was married in 1953 to Dr. William Craver in All Saints Roman Catholic Church, the church she grew up in, across the street from her family home.
She is survived by all six of her children and was a loving and devoted mother to Cathy Craver Kapoor (Bhupendra), Bill Craver Jr. (Antoinette), John Craver (Lindsay), Rie Craver Caswell (Scott), Liz Craver and Jim Craver. She lived in New York City, then moved to Rochester, NY where she raised her children and worked as a teacher. Upon returning to New York City, she happily settled into the Yorkville neighborhood and began her second career at Tiffany and Co. In retirement, she devoted much of her time to visiting her children and doting on her many grandchildren.
Family members also include her sister, Maureen Devlin, 15 grandchildren, her first great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her brother William Givens, her grandson Brandon Craver, her sister Jane Cooney and her daughter-in-law Laura McGrath.
