

A former student at the Brearley School in New York and Ashley Hall in Charleston, South Carolina, Mrs. Weisbond graduated from the Foxhollow School in Lenox, Massachusetts, and from Bennett College in Millbrook, New York. She studied at the Sorbonne in Paris. In 1960, she was presented at the International Debutante Ball in New York.
Mrs. Weisbond worked as a copywriter for the majority of her career at the Estée Lauder Companies, including Clinique (for the bulk of her career), Origins, and Estée Lauder, as well as for the cosmetic companies Coty, Laura Mercier, and Max Factor. She was a fantastic copywriter with a flourish for the creative.
In 1967, Mrs. Weisbond married the love of her life, Raymond D. Weisbond, an entertainment attorney in New York City. They lived happily together for the next fifty-three years in New York, with a short stint in California, sharing in their love of skiing, Siamese cats, and raising their daughter, Eden.
As an expert skier, Mrs. Weisbond heli skied backcountry and spent decades working as a ski instructor, teaching generations of people to share in her love of skiing. She taught students in the Northeast at the resorts of Stowe, Windham, Stratton, and Belleayre well into her 70s. She was a proud member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America.
She was also a talented painter, cartoonist, and writer, spending time with the mystery writing groups Sisters in Crime and the Mystery Writers of America. She wrote short stories, plays, and murder mysteries. Her love of theatre inspired her to be a regular supporter of the Thalia at Symphony Space. Mimi enjoyed tennis and rollerblading in Central Park and sailing a sunfish at Timberlock on Indian Lake in the Adirondacks.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Raymond D. Weisbond, and her parents, Lee Bacon Norris and Frank Callan Norris.
Mrs. Weisbond leaves behind her daughter, Eden R. Weisbond, her son-in-law, Nicholas Menasché, her grandson, Max Menasché, and her sister, Amanda Norris Lovell.
There will be a memorial service held at Frank E. Campbell on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11 a.m.
