Michael grew up surrounded by love in Edgemont. He graduated from Edgemont High School School in 1999. He had a wonderful high school experience: a member of the Edgemont Alternative School, co-captain of the basketball team and co-president of the senior class. After high school, he went to Skidmore College and graduated in 2003 Summa Cum Laude.
Michael had a real passion for finance. After graduation, he worked for the investment firm of Friedman Billings & Ramsey and then at Goldman Sachs. He left Goldman to be Vice President of a small hedge fund, received an MBA at NYU's Stern School in 2009 where he was the President of the Michael Price Student Investment Fund. He then started his own fund, G Asset Management. He was a frequent speaker on the topics of value investing, real estate, and the capital cycle investment framework. and presented at Columbia Business School, Stern, and Skidmore. Confronted with increasingly severe mental illness, Michael persevered in his quest for stability though with growing difficulty.
Michael was generous and kind. He developed deep and meaningful friendships throughout his life. He was personable, fun-loving, creative and adventurous. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, sharp mind, love of the Philadelphia 76ers, two-handed forehand and for being a wonderful friend and team player. His smile was electric.
We are deeply saddened by Michael's death and celebrate the Michael we knew and loved.
