

Pat Holley, born on July 24, 1936 (Anna Patricia Holley), passed away on February 11th, 2025, at the age of 88. A resident of New York, New York, Pat was an accomplished singer, songwriter, arranger, and musician, a beloved matriarch of her family, a wife, and a dear friend and angel to many.
Pat Holley was born in Wytheville, Virginia to her mother, Queenie Poole and her father, Fredrick Holley and went on to become a renowned singer and Juilliard trained composer, songwriter, and arranger who worked with, composed for, and arranged for legends such as R&B sensation Stephanie Mills, Dennis “Doc” Williams, and opera star Shirley Verrett. She was a pillar of her community, an anchor of love and support, and a cultural change maker through her music and her life story who mentored and guided many musical talents who broke barriers throughout the eras.
She leaves behind her husband, Daniel Culleton, her beloved brother Franklin Delano Roosevelt “Sandy” Holley, and dearest nieces and nephews Phillip, Lawrence Frederick, Starr Sandi, Amanda, Krista, Robert, Franklin James, Aimee, Chelsea, Natalianne, Phillip II, Robert II, Raphael, Tammy, Debby, et all . . . as well as her beloved community of friends and musical family.
Pat Holley survived her mother, father, and brothers Lawrence Clinton, Frederick, and Gregory Clarke Holley whom she now joins in heaven.
Services will be held on Monday, February 24th at 4pm at Riverside Memorial Chapel located at 180 W 76th st NY, NY 10023 with a reception afterwards from 5pm to 6:30pm.
