The DeGennaro family owned a fruit market in "The Bronx" NYC and Patrick served his country in World War Two. After serving our country, Patrick became an Air Traffic Controller for the Federal Aviation Administration and moved his family to Hauppauge Long Island while working at La Guardia and MacArthur Airports.
An avid sportsman, Patrick played baseball, tennis, handball, bowled, ran, lifted weights and spent his retirement in Colorado skiing and Florida playing golf.
Patrick is survived by two of his three children, Elizabeth and Patrick Jr, (Theresa passed in 2012), grandchildren John and Beth, his sister Angela and her two children Frank and Laura.
