First Deputy to the Special Commissioner of Investigation (1991-2017), former ADA in Manhattan District Attorney's Office (1983-1991), Boston University and Fordham Law School Graduate. Survived by her husband of 33 years, Edward A Taylor, and son, Brian J L Taylor. Also survived by her sister, Mary Ellen Kris, wife of Dr. Mark G Kris, and Robert Loughran, husband of Mary. Pre-deceased by parents Robert and Geraldine Loughran and brother Raymond Loughran, husband of Sandy. Loving sister- in-law and aunt to 20 nieces and nephews. A loyal public servant for 34 years. Lover of the Upper East Side for walks and going to restaurants. Lover of animals particularly the Central Park Zoo and the Cape May Zoo near the frequent family vacation destination. Devoted Knicks fan for 25 years as well as an avid Regis athletics supporter. Loved to bake particularly the childhood birthday cakes of Brian and his cousins as well as her famous cookie pie. A visitation will be Tuesday 2-4pm & 7-9pm at Frank E Campbell " The Funeral Chapel" 81st & Madison Avenue. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Ignatius Loyola on Wednesday 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wildlife Conservation Society would be appreciated greatly.
