Cherished husband, of Ricky (Harriet) Cosenza, beloved father of Nicole Nardella (husband Anthony), Michael Cosenza (wife Selene), and grandsons Luke Nardella, Will Nardella and Giancarlo Cosenza, dear brother of Craig Cosenza (wife Maaryon) and nieces and nephews Anna Phan, Kaitlyn, David, (wife Tina) and Aliya Cosenza.
Steve was born in the Bronx and was a resident of Manhattan, but his heaven on earth was his home of over forty years in Lake Mahopac where he enjoyed his love of nature, the warmth of the community, and where he loved entertaining family and friends.
It was always a fun time at ‘the house’ with parties filled with love, laughter and great food. Steve attended Fordham University and went on to pursue a career in the textile industry. He was in charge of International Sales for United Merchants and Manufacturers and Bloomsburg Mills. He then founded his own firm, Texwise International Inc. His career led him to travel extensively throughout the world for many years. His last trip abroad was to Positano, Italy where he and Ricky stayed in the home where his grandfather was born.
Steve served in the Army and was proud to be a member of the American Legion Post 1080 and the VFW Post 5491.
Steve will be remembered for this love of family, his engaging personality, and for his wisdom and charm. His skill as a card player reflected much of the person he was: someone with a brilliant subtle mind able to think 5 steps ahead, a logistical problem solver who always had the right solution for those who sought his counsel. A man’s man, a gentleman’s gentleman. He will be profoundly missed by so many.
