

Gerald was retired from the US Army and US Maine Corp serving in Vietnam from 1968 – 1969 in the combat armored (A Troop 4/12 Cavalry, 5th Infantry Division) and Cavalry Platoon Leader. He received the Bronze Star for Valor with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Army Commendation Medal, Vietnamese Cross of Valor with Palm, and the Vietnam Campaign Ribbon with 3 battle stars. He was a paratrooper and jungle warfare expert in Panama and at the age of 19 was commissioned as a second lieutenant. He was the youngest commissioned officer in the US Army.
Gerald graduated from the University of Pittsburg (B.A.), Indiana University of Pennsylvania (M.A.), and SUNY at Buffalo Law School (J.D.) where he received his law degree. He was in private law practice in Appleton for over 30 years. Gerald was a Master Mason in Duke Center, PA, 32nd Degree Mason at Coudersport, Knight Templar in Bradford, PA, Royal Arch in Bradford, PA, Bradford Council in Bradford PA, a member of the American Legion, Nation Rifle Association, Ruffed Grouse Society and Tonawanda Sportsman Club.
Surviving is his loving wife: Diana Mae (Snow) Fallon whom he married June 15, 1985 in Kane, PA; children: Karen Lee (John) Nelson of Mt. Pleasant, PA, Michael Patrick (Stephanie) Fallon of Mt. Pleasant, PA, Timothy James Fallon (Kerry Coleman) of Tampa, FL and Jacob Gerald Fallon (Holly Hutchings) of Missoula, Montana. He was predeceased by a son: Marcus John Fallon in 1974. Grandfather of: Maxximus Patrick Skasko Fallon, Alivia Grace Fallon, Garret Nelson and
Fallon Nelson. Brother of: Kenneth (Susan) Fallon of Palmbay, FL and Glenn Fallon of Irwin PA.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Avenue, Newfane, NY on Sunday, June 21, 2015 from 2- 4 pm and 6-8 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 22, 2015 at 11:00 am from the funeral home. Interment will be in Wrights Corners Cemetery.
