Amber Wyatt and John Sibthorp Jr.

Amber and John loved helping people. They devoted their entire lives to it. They were shining lights within their communities, and mentored hundreds of young individuals since the time they started working at the age of sixteen. They were passionate about creating opportunities for people that allowed their communities to connect, grow, and learn within their environments.

They both grew up in the City of Santa Clarita, and eventually began working as lifeguards where they coached young athletes, taught swim lessons, mentored other young lifeguards, and discovered their passions for all things aquatics, recreation, and emergency medical training.

In 2018, they began dating, and the rest was history. They spent every second together, and bonded over their love of UCLA, Disney, the Dodgers, and Taylor Swift, even though John wouldn’t admit it.

They both eventually ended up working for Ventura City where they continued pursuing the work they were passionate about. They were inspirations to the people they worked with, and they cared so much about the work they did.

Amber and John will be missed a tremendous amount, but they will never be forgotten, and they will always be in our hearts
