Carmelita graduated from San Carlos University in Cebu City. She married Joey Ko in Cebu City on December 23, 1976. A member of The Church on the Way (Pentecostal Foursquare Christian) in Van Nuys, California, Carmelita authored the book, “Rough, Rugged And Sweet, A Journey To Destiny,” in 2011.
