

A native of Milbank, South Dakota, Carolyn moved to the Santa Clarita Valley in 1967 with her husband and 5 children. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert and is survived by her children, Debra, Jolene, Terry, Jerry and Larry and her 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Before she lost her battle with cancer, she worked for 23 years as a Site Manager for the Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center.
She was active in numerous charitable organizations. She was a 24 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron in 1997 and Deputy Grand Matron in 2002. As a member of the Amaranth, she served as Grand Representative, Grand Charity Officer and in 2004 as Royal Matron of the La Sierra Court. Since 2001 she was an active member of the Daughters of the Nile. She was also a 50 year member of the Christ Lutheran Church of Santa Clarita.
Carolyn loved people, she loved to travel, she loved life. She once said she never had enough time to do everything she wanted to do. And people loved Carolyn, her generous and kind spirit and her loving heart. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and her many friends. She is at peace now. She is home.
Following Funeral and Burial services a reception will be held at the Old West Masonic Lodge, 19310 Avenue of the Oaks, Santa Clarita.
