Darlene Ann Swaim

December 18th 2025 we lost Mom, Grandma and best friend to everyone she met.

Darlene was preceded in death by her father Richard H Clasen, mother Jacqueline (Webster) Clasen, brother Dick Clasen and sadly her husband Doug Swaim.The two of them truly were two peas in a pod, inseparable.

They traveled the world together and left no stone unturned, or restaurant for that matter, they really LOVED food!

When not playing cards or the slots, her favorite thing to do was lay on the beach or by a pool lathered in suntan oil with Doug by her side and reading a salacious novel or scandal sheet. She loved Hollywood gossip!

None of us knew how she was going to make it without my father. God wasn't quite ready for her yet so she found a way. She joined a grief group and Sorority andmade wonderful new friends that carried her through the last 14 years and we are truly grateful for those friends.

Darlene is survived by her stepson Monty Swaim and wife Sarah, step daughter Tammy Hubbard and her children Shane, Aleena & Ella.

Darlene was a horrible driver and everyone knew it but her! Ironically this became an endearing trait of hers. When she hit the throttle you would be looking for grab handle and securing your belongings. All of us in the car would give each other wide-eyed stares and just smile. We will miss those crazy car rides.

As Mom would say: I'm home with my (Dougie) and finally at peace now.
