It's been 4 years since you left us Dave to be reunited with your family in Heaven! And not a day goes by that you are not missed by all of us, but most especially by those who were so dear to you!
We miss your beautiful smile and that special laugh you had! But most of all, we miss being able to share talks and visits with you when we were able to come for a visit!
So today we carry your memory with us, in our hearts, thoughts and prayers!
We pray that the Lord will bring some measure of comfort to Martha, your children, and your family as we recall our time together!
May the Lord's love continue to shine on you and all of us!

You would always come into the office and know how to make us smile. Your bright and uplifting attitude was always a pleasure. May you rest in Paradise.

I glad I was able to meet David over 20 years ago at my Taekwondo school.  He was an excellent father, uncle, friend.  He had a big heart and he was never afraid to show his own opinion about any topic. David train martial arts w me on and off for over 10 years. He was a true black belt even he never apply for this 1 Dan black belt. I’m glad I am able to call him my friend. I was always remember him and his family.  
Someone recently inform me about this tragic accident.  I believe David w be w his family and his friends for ever.

Uncle Dave,
I will miss you so much. Your patience and understanding impressed me so much the first time we met. I’ll never forget all the fun times we had riding around in your cool purple Chevy truck, listening to Queen and eating candy bars. It was so long ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday.

You made me feel so at peace at a difficult time in my life by simply being there and spending time talking with me, earnestly, about the world and about how things are.  You always had a way of speaking to me that made sense, and I loved your sense of humor.  I always looked forward to seeing you whenever we made the trip down south to LA.

I will never forget the time we spent together, or how great of a person you are.  You are loved here on earth, and you are loved in heaven.  The world is sadder, and less bright without you. Rest In Peace Uncle Dave.  I will see you again someday.

Uncle Dave I want you to know that you were everything to me my best friend and hero. I looked up to you so much and you taught me so much! You were never judgemental even when I messed up bad you would say " Con quidao Vince" and just let me vent.  You taught me my love of music and not only bought me my first harmonica but taught me to play it. I am going to miss our talks.  Not too many people got me the way you do. You made me laugh so much and got me through some dark moments always there to help. I love you so much Uncle. May you be at peace and I will Con quidao until we can be jamming together on our harmonicas again. Thank you for everything you taught me and I will try to live daily by the advice you gave. Dave was a wonderful man, brother in law, and friend to me! He always had a beautiful smile and wonderful sense of joy!
He cared very deeply for others and tried to help anyone in need! I remember visiting him in the Canyon several years ago and sharing a special talk with him alone in the quietness. He shared with me that he was studying the Bible with one of the neighbors in the Canyon. I told him how happy I was that he doing this!
Then he got very serious and told me that he was concerned that our Mother In Law, Olga had been very ill and he was concerned she would be leaving us very soon! He told me he’d had a prompting from the Lord to tell me to send Paula and Brian to visit her before it was too late!
When we returned home I told Paula about my talk with Dave and worked to get her to Texas! That’s why she was there when Olga entered into eternal rest,
I’v never shared this with anyone else! But I know the Lord spoke to us through Dave, a special friend forever!
Rest In Peace my brother! I will forever carry your in my heart, thoughts, and prayers!

Dave, you were a beautiful person, friend, uncle, brother in law, and partner to us all! You brought so much joy to all of us with your wonderful smile and sense of humor! 
We enjoyed every moment we spent visiting you whenever we were able to travel to Southern California! Diane, Geoff, Brian, Liz, Adrianna, and Debbie all have special memories of visiting you and riding around with you going to the store and listening to Queen playing on the radio! 
You had such a loving heart and cared so deeply for us all! The loved you showed to my sister Martha and the support you gave her through all these years will forever be remembered! We are all better people for having you in our lives. 
Now you’re an Angel in Heaven, still keeping watch over all of us, and having long conversations with Mom! You will always be in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers! God Bless you forever!

To my friend, the man we called Uncle Dave!!! Thank you sir so much for the friendship you gave to me, however short it may have been, it was sincere. I knew more of you thru my wife's childhood memories of how great of an uncle you were. From the moment I've gotten to know her, she mentioned you right away and couldn't wait for the moment you and I met. That day came and I knew why she wanted me to know who you were. You are an uncle that everyone in their life should have had and I got an opportunity to acquire that uncle, our Uncle Dave. With no hesitation, you gave me that uncle, my Uncle Dave. Thank you sir, for the talks, the laughter and the heartfelt memories you never hesitated to share. We love you and our memories of you will echoe in eternity. Rest in peace my and our, Uncle Dave.

Uncle Dave, 
I have so many memories with you as I grew up; it’s hard to put them all into words now, but each of them is filled with laughter, jokes, and silliness. You used to always help baby sit me and my middle sister, Bella. I'll always remember you picking me up from school, taking for me for slurpees and to the park, helping you clean the yard, and giving me things you found to start my collection of arrowheads, rocks, and seashells. You’d always listen to me talk as we sat on the tailgate of your truck, walk around the canyon letting me use your giant walking stick, and driving through the driveways of random people’s houses just to make me laugh. To cheer me up, you showed me the greatest recipe of toast bread with butter and sprinkled sugar (always making sure to sprinkle just a little bit more when no one was looking), which is something I still do today. Another classic Uncle Dave symbol you have left me and so many others is your drawing you put on every card, napkin, bookmark, and anything else you got inspired to leave your mark on. The valley, sun, clouds and mountains became like your new signature, so strong, yet peaceful and serene. Whenever I was with you and had to leave, you’d give me a quick hug and say, “Okay, okay save some for later”. I’d squeeze in an extra hug and wait for the next time I got to see you. I wish I could have saved just a few seconds from each time to give you a hug now. But, just like in your drawing, I know you are in a place of peace. Just like when I would hug you, we are not saying goodbye now but waiting for the time to join you again. So, until I see you, I'll share the memories and joy you left us and save the hugs for later.


This was a very proud day and a memory he treasured. Breanna and Scott you were his pride and joy!❤️

Dave you will truly be missed, you were always good to me and my kids, I will miss our long talks sitting outside, venting to each other and making jokes about anything and everything, but I will miss your goofiness most of all, Rest in Paradise

I will miss you Uncle Dave. My favorite memory of you is when me and my mom and sisters went to your house and you were making us laugh by being silly and showing us around your yard. You took us for a secret hike and we went for a walk barefooted in the creek behind your house. We were all laughing because you had to help my mom over the rail. I love hearing my mom's stories about growing up with you because it always makes her laugh. Thank you for making us laugh and being so kind you are the only great uncle that took time to hang out with us and make us smile. I love you and you always be missed.

I will miss you Nino Dave.  I remember you babysitting me and taking me for walks around the canyon. My favorite memory  was you and Aunt Martha at our house babysitting us and you cooked for us and didn't mind I was picky. You were always making us laugh and would play practical jokes on my family like hiding Alina's ice cream in the microwave and mom's coffee in the freezer. You encouraged me to learn to read and came to my birthday parties and my 5th grade graduation. I will miss you making us laugh especially my mom. I love you Nino Dave. I know you are watching over us and I feel your love.

You lived with me or next to me practically my whole life & I know God brought you into my life at a time I needed you most. Instantly you went from Uncle to mentor, hero and friend. I followed you around everywhere running errands, working on the trucks and was a third wheel on yours and Nina Martha's dates. You called me your shadow because I even waited outside the bathroom for you. Your friendship and advice got me through some of the hardest times in my life. Everyday was and adventure with you. Our alone time we called our "man days"having mud fights, going on hikes, secretly racing the truck in the street races. Our long drives listening to music , me venting you listening. Hours of hanging out with you and Nina Martha laughing and being silly. You made sure I brushed my hair, taught me to roller skate and taught me to tell time. You babysat my children Alina, Bella and Kauti & even baptized  Bella. You came &hung out with me and my husband, Jeff and was there advising me when him and I were just talking about marriage. Through out my life You were always there to listen  or help me escape. I could tell you anything & you let me be me. I feel lost with your loss but I  am trying to find comfort in knowing your bright energy is around me now listening, guiding, comforting and will be waiting for our next adventure together. I love you Uncle so much and miss you every day. I will try to make you proud and carry the kind loving energy you showed to so many people.

You were more than an Uncle, you were a friend, a confidant, someone I looked to for guidance, advice and sometimes someone just to laugh with. I will miss our phone conversations in fake accents and the silly pictures that always made me smile. I will miss you everyday and will do my best to follow  your example and do what I can to make a difference in the world around me. All my love Uncle!
