It was a sad day, August 8, 2011, when we lost our wonderful husband, father, & "Papa," Doug Swaim, after a courageous battle against cancer. He was proud to serve as PFC in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves based at Camp Pendleton from 1968-1972. After junior college, Doug was in management at Sears opening several locations. In his 30s, he discovered the car business which remained in his blood until the very end. He worked his way up to general manager and ran many dealerships during the last 30 years. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Joan & Al Swaim.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Darlene Swaim; his son and daughter-in-law, Monty & Sarah Swaim; his daughter and son-in-law, Tammy & Alan Hubbard; three grandchildren, Shane, Aleena & Ella Hubbard; and his brother, Joe Swaim.
