Jo-Ann Page passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family and a lot
of love on July 14th, 2025. She was a beautiful woman who cared deeply for
others and held a strong commitment to her family. She was a caring and devoted
wife for 55 years, a loving mother and “number one fan” to her sons, an
extraordinary Grandmother to her grandchildren whose love and presence shaped
their lives in unforgettable ways and simply the kindest soul to her extended
family and friends.
Jo-Ann was a military wife and moved to several states while supporting her
husband and raising her two sons. She worked for several non-profits including
The Officers Wives Club at Castle Air Force Base and chaperoned
underprivileged children to museums and musicals in San Francisco. After raising
her children, Jo-Ann returned to school, where she studied art and became fluent
in Spanish, earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree with Summa Cum Laude honors
from California State University Stanislaus. She eventually retired from working
at Atwater High School, where she had many close friends who she kept in
contact with through the years. Jo-Ann and her husband Jack, enjoyed their
retirement years by traveling, including a visit to Spain, going to Jazz Concerts,
art galleries and spending time with their children and grandchildren. They
eventually moved to Southern California to live a few blocks away from their four
granddaughters to be available to babysit and watch their AYSO soccer games.
Jo-Ann had a love for music, puzzles and books but her true past time and love
was family and art! She not only painted, but sculpted clay, created wonderful
works of stain glass pieces and did several amazing bronze sculptures over the
years. She passed on that love of art on to her granddaughters whom she taught
how to sketch, paint and sculpt with clay. They continue to honor her legacy and
that passion every day.
Jo-Ann Page is survived by her son P. Robert Page, daughter-in-law Angela M.
Page, granddaughters Aliya M. Page, Shayla R. Page, Kyra J. Page and Karina L.
Page, nephews Keith Taylor, Chuckie Taylor, Casey Taylor and Eric King,
extended family, and many caring friends. She was predeceased by her spouse
Col. Aaron “Jack” Page, eldest son Aaron J. Page, father Robert J. Taylor, mother
Lillian Hodges, brothers Robert “Bobby” Taylor Jr. and George “Georgie”
Taylor.
Jo-Ann Page will be interned at the Eternal Valley Memorial Park & Mortuary in
Newhall, CA on July 29th, 2025.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests a modest donation be made in her name to
the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port
Hueneme. www.bgcop.org/make-an-impact
