Joseph Modugno

He was the 3rd of 4 children, born on March 22, 1941 in Adelfia, Bari, Italy, to Vito F Modugno and Agnese (Chiechi) Modugno. Joe came to the USA at the young age of 12 to live the American Dream. He graduated from Francis Polytechnic High School, Sun Valley, CA in 1960. Following graduation, he served in the US Army (fortunately staying stateside) during The Vietnam War.

Joe married his "Woman" Naomi "Nikki" Modugno in 1966. They celebrated 46 years together before Naomi passed in 2013. Joe was a member of the American Legion Post 176/San Fernando.

Joe was an amazing Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle and Friend to many; he will be greatly missed. He is survived by his (3) Daughters, Dena, Lisa and JoLynn (Son in Law Ruben) as well as his 1 Granddaughter Sydney and (2) Grandsons Anthony and Ruben.

He is also survived by (1) Sister in Italy, Lena and many nieces, nephews and cousins in the USA and Italy.

A service for remembrance will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, May 12th , 2026 at Eternal Valley Memorial Park 23287 Sierra Hwy Newhall, CA 91321
