

Juan Najar died on Friday, September 20, 2019, at the age of 83 in Panorama City, California. Juan was born in Ciudad Gomez Palacio, Durango, Mexico, to Francisco and Maria, and lived in San Fernando and Sylmar, California for 65 years. He worked nearly all of his life as a machinist, in precision manufacturing, and owned his own machine shop for the last 33 years.
Juan loved God and God loved him. He also loved boxing and the Dodgers. He was known by his smile and by his quiet dignity.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers Jose and Victor. He will be missed greatly by his wife of 54 years, Naomy, their two sons John and Joel, his daughter-in-law Jessica, his grandson Joaquin, his brother Carlos, and sisters Coco, Blanca Rosa, Andrea, and Carmen Ofelia.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 30, at Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary at 23287 North Sierra Highway, Newhall, California 91321. The funeral service will be held the next morning, October 1, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at La Trinidad/Trinity Church at 1150 O’Melveny Avenue, San Fernando, California 91340, with the committal service to follow at noon at Eternal Valley Memorial Park.
