Funeral services will be held 2pm Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Chapel of the Oaks at Eternal Valley with Pastor Carlos Alvarez officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Pioneers at Eternal Valley. Arrangements are by Eternal Valley.

Julie Galarza Montez was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico to Telesforo Galarza and Inocencia Lebron on May 6, 1945. She married Frank Montes on January 5th, 1984, in The Ivy House in Inglewood, CA. She was a homemaker for 40 years and proud mother for many more.

Julie Galarza Montez is survived by her husband Frank Montes; her children Noemi Rivera; James Rivera and spouse Michael McClary; Hector Rivera and spouse Marilyn Rivera; Joshua Montez and spouse Korinna Montez; and Jonathan Montez; her grandchildren Christopher Rivera, Janelle Rivera, Andrew Rivera, Angelo Nieves, Kristen Nieves, Eric Montez, and Noelia Montez; and four great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Frank Montes, Noemi Rivera, Hector Rivera, James Rivera, Joshua Montez, and Jonathan Montez.
