Leticia “Letty” Taguchi, 70, of the San Fernando Valley passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024. Born in Mexico City, Mexico, she lived a full life filled with adventure, resilience, and love. She immigrated to the United States 40 years ago and proudly became a U.S. citizen, embracing her new home with dedication and spirit.
Letty began her career as a customs inspector in Mexico, where she served for 10 years, before transitioning to work as a bartender in the United States. She continued this role for over 20 years where her warm personality and vivacious spirit left a lasting impact on all those she served before retiring to spend more time with her family, friends and all of her beloved Chihuahuas especially Junior and Juanito (Johnny).
She married the love of her life, Roger Taguchi on December 19, 1994 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, love and countless memories. Letty is survived by her devoted husband Roger, her daughter Stephanie Ramirez, grandson Jun Jung, sister Griselda Delgado, her beloved chihuahua Juanito “Johnny” whom she loved more than life itself and spent 24 hours a day with, and many cherished family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Sergio an Luz, her brother Sergio Jr., daughter Roxanna and Junior, her other beloved chihuahua who will never be forgotten but we find comfort in the thoughts that they are now reunited.
Letty had an incredible zest for life, and her passions included shopping for jewelry, clothes, keepsakes and collector items, gardening, painting, and caring for a variety of pets, loved all holidays not just because of getting together with family and friends but everything that went with them like buying gifts, decorations and cooking special feasts.
She loved exploring every corner of California from amusement parks, outlets, casinos, malls, lakes and point of interests to her favorite Mexican and seafood restaurants like “El Tepeyac” on Boyle Heights to “Northwoods Inn” in La Mirada.
Her heart was always drawn to her roots, with frequent travels to Mexico, as well as trips to Las Vegas, Hawaii and beyond.
