Morris Weldon Batts Sr. was born in Williamson County Texas on December 19, 1926 to George and Martha Batts. He was the youngest of six children and follows in death his wife, Carrie, sister, Ethel and brothers, Neal, Arthur and Howard Batts.
Morris is survived by his brother, Curtis Batts, children, Sharon, Morris Jr. and Darrell, grandchildren, Corey Jordan, Dominique Batts, Dimitri Batts, Latoya Morris, great-grandchildren, Brianna Jordan, Julissa Jordan, Deangelo Jordan, Alexis Morris and Gavin Morris and a host of relatives and friends who loved and admired him greatly.
Our father, brother, granddad, great-granddad and friend was an glowing example of love, patience, perseverance, integrity and faith.
For you:
We thought of you with love today,
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday.
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories.
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake.
With which we'll never part.
God has you in His keeping.
