Raul Ismael Grajeda

On April 16, 2012, Raul Ismael Grajeda finished his mission in life. He now resides in the Kingdom of Heaven dwelling with the Lord at the table He has prepared for him. He was 80 years young and is survived by his wife; Annie, two children, Isaac and Belinda (Dorsey) Grajeda, and last but not least his one and only grandchild Kordell Dorsey.

Raul was born on May 9, 1931 in Oxnard, California to Felipe Jesus and Rosa Maria Grajeda. Raul was one of nine siblings. Siblings were Robert, Charlie, Sonny, Carmen, Lucy, Alice, and Mary Ellen who have all passed away. Two of the nine, Henry and Stella Grajeda are still among the family; as well as from nieces, nephews to great nieces and nephews.

As a child and part of his teenage years, he created quite a bit of mischief that brought a little trouble his way. However, Raul found Christ that led his life to Evangelizing in State Prisons, Streets of Los Angeles, and many churches. During this time is when Raul met Annie while cruising on Laurel Canyon Blvd. He invited Annie to church, where she too accepted Christ. On July 3, 1964, Raul and Annie married at La Trinidad Church in San Fernando, California. Two years later, they welcomed the adoption of their daughter Belinda (Dorsey) Grajeda and another two years later, they welcomed the birth of son their Isaac Grajeda. Raul ‘s carrier as a truck driver allowed him to travel from state to state, which he loved to preach to other truck drivers using the CB radio. After many years on the road, Raul decided to retire his truck to live out the remainder of his life in the City of North Hills.

Now that he has run his race (we all have our own race to run), he has exchanged his crown for Eternal Life in heaven to dwell with the Lord forever and ever. AMEN.
