This might seem a bit strange but Wayne bought my and my wife’s house on the Rogue River some 12 years ago after seeing a For Sale sign as he went on a River Run. It MUST have been a total “God thing”; we left virtually everything in the house, he even waived the inspection report. To my knowledge, he only stayed there a few times on business trips and/or with his wife. 
This purchased allowed us much more freedom to do our work with our Org called aKIDS-Uganda. I will NEVER forget him and a few stories he shared. TRULY A GOD SEND!

Mrs. Connie and family,

I am extremely sorry for your loss and have asked my brother in-law, whom is head of the Catholic Church deaf ministry in STL, to add you all to his prayer book. I pray Mr. Wayne is resting peacefully and looking down on you all with love and comfort. My dealings with Wayne were always delightful and unforgettable, especially sitting in lawn chairs at L70 Airport smoking cigars and chasing coyotes off the runway. I hope the innovative minds behind cancer treatment and prevention are able to make great advancements so that we can all be rid of this terrible word that has plagued households for too long! God bless and again, my deepest condolences.

I remember back in the day when Wayne and I walked 46 miles through the Sahara when the car broke down on our way to the golf tournament in 1953. He will be missed love him with my whole heart. 

I was 19 and 8 months pregnant, sleep well man. 😇

Dear Aunt Connie, I am so sorry for your loss. I am praying for you and the family. I just learned of this today. I am so sorry I was not able to be there to offer you love and support. I have so many wonderful memories growing up riding dirt bikes and horses at your house with my cousins, and all the joy I experienced going to the races. I miss you so much ❤️. I tried emailing you. My deepest condolences to the Spears family.   I was a factory salesman for Spears in the Midwest for 25 years and I always felt proud to be part of this great company.   Mr. Spears and his family ran this company with class which their customers appreciated and respected.

Dear Connie and Family

I was very sad to hear of Wayne’s passing. To me, he represented what it meant to be a successful, yet, genuine friend, brother-in-law and a really good person. My favorite memories of Wayne are of sharing time in his shop while he worked on his cars and trucks and then joining you all on the race track to watch them tear it up.

I also fondly remember back when you and Wayne came to visit Barb and me in the early 70’s and Wayne talked about starting his company.  He had his vision of being the largest PVC company in the U.S.  I was amazed to watch his vision come to pass over the past five decades.

I loved the years when Barb and I and the kids would drive down to Grandma’s house to see everyone and watch the kids play and grow up.

I often think of the time after Barb passed away, when Wayne invited Danny and me to go with you to Alaska to spend some time on the boat. There have been many times when Danny I have talked about that experience at family dinners. It meant so much to us both.
Again, I will always remember Wayne for his professionalism and warm smile.

My name is Christa Ennis.  My father was Bill Meyer.   I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Spears passing.  I wanted to let you know that every time my dad spoke of me Spears, he had a glowing smile and always told us of all of the of the fantastic things he did and in addition how down to earth he was.  Mr. Spears will be sorely missed.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Mr. Spears' passing.  A legend in the plastic piping industry, he was as unique an individual as I have ever known.  His mechanical genius, business savvy, and common sense, were a rare combination of traits that allowed him to build a hugely successful business that will be his legacy for many years to come.  His "down home" demeanor was such that, as I often told people who knew of his reputation, but had never met him, in  a roomful of people, he was the last one you would suspect was the most successful man in the room.
Wayne will be missed by many people; and remembered by many, many more.

I am deeply saddened to hear about uncle Wayne. As I started finally growing up I always looked up to and admired what he accomplished in his life. I remember nothing made him smile more than when you guys won the Winston west championship in Bakersfield or when he bought you that red Mercedes for Xmas. He will always be there loving you.
