Tammy, born on April 25, 1963 to Dale and Sandra Lewis in Granada Hills, CA, immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. Tammy graduated from Granada Hills Senior High in 1981 as an honor student. Following graduation, Tammy began her paralegal career with Herzog, Yuhas, Ehlich & Ardell, A.P.C. in 1982 after serving with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. She completed her undergraduate work at California State University, Northridge in 1988 and was awarded a Juris Doctorate by Ventura College of Law in 1996. Tammy dedicated her nearly 40-year career to fighting for what she believed in: helping to passionately and ethically seek justice for clients, maintaining high standards of professionalism within her office, and fostering a sense of community amongst her coworkers.
Tammy was a fiercely dedicated mom, proudly raising each of her children to go on to accomplish great things. Her greatest joy came in being a grandmother, a role she readily and effortlessly embraced. Family came first and was above all else to Tammy, a value she instilled in all those around her. Her time was always spent with family and friends, whether it be cruising, spending time in the sun, or planning and hosting unforgettable parties. She made it her mission to improve and enrich the lives of others. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.
Tammy is survived by her husband Rick Lyman, her three children Brett (Kelsy) Urie, Briana (Laura) Windell, Alexander (Jilynn Saragoza) Lyman; her two stepchildren Jarrod (Brandy) Lyman, Jeremy (Carrie) Lyman; her stepfather Dave (Carol) Walter, brother Dave (Reyna) Walter, bonus daughter (Alix Jane Smith), seven grandchildren, three fur babies and many family, friends and colleagues.
Tammy is preceded in death by her parents (Dale and Sandra), her brothers (Larry Drussel and Rick Lewis), her son (Brian Urie) and her beloved dog (Riley).
