Walter G Hildebrand

Walter Gustav Hildebrand passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 20 2018, at the age of 88. Walter was a loving husband to and is survived by his wife, Paula (Walk) Hildebrand, of 62 years. He has 3 sons and 1 daughter: Gary Hildebrand of Glendale, CA (wife, Lisa); Brian Hildebrand of Stevenson Ranch (wife, Tammy); Bruce Hildebrand of Keller, TX (wife, Sandy); and Sylvia (Hildebrand) Enderle of Thousand Oaks, CA (husband, Frank ). Walter is survived by eight grandchildren: Kevin Hildebrand of Maple Valley, WA; Ashley Finegold of San Diego, CA; Aaron Hildebrand & Keaton Hildebrand of Fayetteville, AR; Bryce Hildebrand & Blake Hildebrand of Stevenson Ranch, CA; and Tyler Enderle & Brett Enderle of Thousand Oaks, CA. Walter has other extended family in Switzerland.

Walter grew up in Switzerland until the age of 22 when he moved to Canada. In 1961, he moved to the Los Angeles area with his wife. Walter worked in the meat industry for 35 years and ran his own maintenance company for 20 years afterwards. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching ice hockey and soccer. It gave Walter great joy to attend sports activities of grandkids and be involved in their lives.

Services will be held on October 11th, 2018 at 11:00am at Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary Chapel of the Oaks in Newhall, CA.
