He is survived by his parents: Ann J & Kenny Prince of Loris, SC; and sister: Kristen Burns (Ryan); Nephew: Gabe Smith of Hickory, NC; aunt: Rita Lutz (Ricky) of Vale, NC; great uncle: Ned Jarrett (Martha); great aunt: Clara Scronce; step grandmother: BJ Knox; and his precious daughter: Marley Grae Bartlett whom he loved very much.
He was predeceased by grandparents: Keith and Pauline Jarrett, and Homer and Eoline Jarrett; and Marley’s mother: Ashley Chandler.
Shawn loved sports especially playing golf, watching the NC State Wolfpack play basketball and followed NASCAR’s Kevin Harvick. Shawn was funny and entertaining, a great storyteller.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Sardis Lutheran Church with Rev. Adrienne E. Martin officiating. Burial of his ashes will follow in the church cemetery.
