Barbara Anne Hill Cobb

Barbara Anne Hill Cobb, age 86 entered her eternal home on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Hospice of Catawba County in Newton NC. Born July 10, 1931 in Graham, Alamance County to Reid Lawton Hill Sr. and Della Elizabeth Moore Hill, she now joins them along with her beloved husband of 57 years, James Venner Cobb Jr., her dear daughter, Martha Cobb Rumley, and her brother, Larry Moore Hill.

Left to cherish her memory is her treasured family of: son, James V. “Jamie” Cobb III and wife, Jill of Apex, NC; daughter, Cathy Adams and husband, Frank of Salisbury; daughter, Beth Lilly and husband, Tom of Newton; son-in-law, Mark Rumley of Burlington, NC. Grandchildren are: Kirby Cobb, Carter Cobb and Ella Cobb; Frank Adams III (wife Allison), Russ Adams, and Stewart Adams (wife Noel); Chad Rumley (wife Beth), Catherine Rumley, and Chris Rumley; Thomas Lilly. Great grandchildren are: Stewart Adams Jr., Blake Adams, Ryan Adams, Frank Adams IV, Drew Adams, and Everett Rumley. She also leaves two brothers, Reid L. Hill, Jr. of Raleigh, NC, Edward W. Hill of Burlington, NC, their families, and many beloved cousins.

The funeral service, a Celebration of her Life, will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 221 Union Street, in Cary, NC at 3:00 pm, Monday, July 31, 2017, The Rev. George Adamik, Officiant. The burial will take place privately with family at another date.

Friends are warmly invited to visit with the family following the service at an informal reception, graciously provided by the Care and Share Ministry of St. Paul's.
