Cleva Mae Fulbright

Born May 30, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Lindsey Rudisill and Laura Alice Hood Rudisill. Cleva was a member of Sardis Lutheran Church, where she was a former member of the women’s circle. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed working in her flower garden and reading.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Lee Fulbright; son, Kevin Philo Fulbright; infant grandson, Jack Dale Parris; brothers, Loy Rudisill, George Rudisill, and one infant brother ; sisters, Floy Scronce, Zonnie Scronce, Myrtle Stallings and Lucy Huffman Lowman.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters and sons-in-law, Judy Hinkle and husband, Carroll of Midway, TN, Alice Parris and husband, Jack of Lincolnton, Vicky Martin and husband, Michael of Conover; sons and daughters-in-law, Alan Fulbright of Newton, Roy Fulbright and wife, Jeannette of Vienna, VA and Roger Fulbright and wife, Dorothy of Newton; 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Sardis Lutheran Church in Hickory with the Rev. Adrienne Martin officiating. She will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Willis Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton.
