

Born October 26, 1935 in Haywood County, he was the son of the late Ernest Earl Robinson and Effie Mae Putnam Robinson and was a lifetime member of Hazelwood Baptist Church.
He was retired from General Electric Company, but his passion was Saddlebred horses and he was the founder of Don Robinson Stables.
Through the years he worked many selfless hours with many children, instructing riding lessons and providing his horses for their enjoyment.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Earl Robinson and Cecil Robinson and sisters, Dorothy Cochran, Ernestine Gardner, and Ruth Passmore.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 39 years, Peggy Robinson; son, D. Lowell Robinson, Jr. of Newton; daughter, Donnalene Robinson Brown and husband, Tom of Newton; brother, Howell Robinson of Waynesville; sister, Betty Jo Snyder of Waynesville; grandchildren, Krista Whitener Robbins, Challen Whitener McRee, Avie Robinson Smith; and great-grandchildren, Maddox McRee, Taytum Robbins, Jackson McRee, Ellie Smith, and Cruz McRee.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 24, 2014 in the Chapel of Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton, with Rev. Byron Repass officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton.
