Born June 7, 1943 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of late Fred E. and Elizabeth Bandy Huffman. She was a member of Abernethy Memorial United Methodist Church in Newton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Eugene Huffman.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Jimmie Ray Hilton of the home; sons Kelly R. Hilton of Newton and Scott Hilton of Newton; sister-in-law, Nancy Huffman of Newton; and nephew Tony Huffman of Newton.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 24, 2012 in the Chapel of Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park in Newton.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. on Monday at Willis-Reynolds.
