Gaynell McCall Cauthen

Born, December 24, 1928, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Hobert McKinley McCall and Mamie Caldwell McCall .

Gaynell was a lifetime member of Mt. Ruhama Baptist Church. She always enjoyed good conversation with family and friends, and working in her vegetable and flower gardens. She enjoyed the Golden Age and other senior groups.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Curtis Baker Cauthen, her brother, Jerry McCall, and her sister, Geraldine Newton.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Larry C. Cauthen and wife, Mikey of Walkertown, NC; daughter, Brenda Cauthen Hildebran and husband, Wendell of Sherrills Ford, NC; brother, Yates McCall of Maiden, NC; sisters, Irene Howard of Terrell, NC, Ruth Edwards and husband, Roland of Sherrills Ford, NC; grandchildren, Michael Cauthen and wife, Melissa, Amy Moxley and husband, Tony; great-grandchildren, Ellie, Aidan, and Olivia Cauthen, Brandon and Nicholas Moxley.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Mt. Ruhama Baptist Church, in Maiden, NC, with Pastor Michael Staton and Pastor Guy Helms officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Mt. Ruhama Baptist Church in Maiden.
