Born December 3, 1934 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Phillip Edmondson and Bertha Conard Edmondson.
Mary was a longtime member of Bethel Lutheran Church and loved reading her bible. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Melvin O. Isaac; brother, William Edmondson; and sisters, Maxine Nance and Deanna Burchette.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Tracey Stroud and husband, Sherman, of Claremont; grandchildren, Sherman Stroud, Jr., Shawn Stroud, Cody Stroud and wife, Jessica; and her beloved dog, Tippy.
The funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m., Monday, January 18, 2016, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Claremont, with Rev. Mike Ramey and Rev. Eric Hollar officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m., at the church.
