Born December 15, 1925 in Haywood Co, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Luther Arrington and Lockey Daisy Hance Arrington. She worked for Southern Furniture for 17 years and enjoyed being outdoors whether it was tending to flowers and garden or bird watching which she loved.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Lee Brown; son, Charles Ray Brown; two brothers; and two sisters.
Rena is survived by her son; William Steve Brown and wife, Susan Jonas of Newton; daughters, Nellie Sue Barnard and husband, Tom of Hickory, Linda Price of Hickory, and Joan Brown of Hickory; special niece, Debbie Misenheimer; special sister, Audrey Arrington; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
No service will be held at this time.
