Born April 14, 1954 in Burke County, he was the son of the late Luther “Luke” Jordan and Mary Ann Deaton Jordan. Richard loved the outdoors and spent a lot of time fishing and hunting; he was self-employed as a handyman, and was of the Christian faith.
Left to cherish his memory, in addition to his mother, are his brothers, Charles Jordan, James Jordan; sisters, Robin Jordan Crozier, Angela Jordan Eckard and husband, Rick; nephew, Chad Eckard; nieces, Zoe Mohundro, Amanda Williams and husband, Jonathan; and great-nephew, Gavin Williams.
The family will have a private service at a later date.
