Born January 25, 1948, in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of Howard Jennings Blanton and Alma Rosezini Barnett Blanton.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Marlon Newell Touchberry.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Dwayne Rippy of Shelby, Marcus Anthony Cook of Hickory; daughters, Tina Marie Cook of Louisville, KY, Cherie Smith of Maiden; grandchildren, Angelica Nicole Clark, Preston Scott Seitz, Daniel Aaron Hamrick, Victoria Rose McDaniel, Kenny Lee Lail; brother, Roger Blanton of Shelby, and sister Linda Priest of Hickory.
A private service will be held at a later date.
