Born September 10, 1943 in Hamilton County, Ohio, he was the son of Gordon and Lois Gilreath Spradlin of Grand Island, Florida. He served in the U.S. Army during the Cold War.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by sisters Zettia Farley and husband Larry of Cincinnati, Ohio and Sarah Preston and husband James of Brandon, Florida; nieces and nephews Chris Horan of Cincinnati, Ohio, Derrick Preston of Riverview, Florida, and Teri Bullard and husband Scott of Riverview, Florida; four great nieces and seven great nephews.
