Ursula Sonya Sternberg Loewenstein, age 82, of Newton, NC, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2017, at Abernethy Laurels in Newton, NC, after a lengthy battle with multiple sclerosis. Born April 5, 1935, in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Siegfried and Hilda
Goldmeier Sternberg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Frederick Edward Anhouse, second husband, Gunther Loewenstein, and a brother, John Sternberg.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharon A. Scharf and husband Claude of Denver, NC; son, Stephen K. Anhouse and wife Karen of Highlands Ranch, CO; grandchildren, Taylor Anhouse, Jamie Anhouse, Jeffrey Scharf, and Jenna Johnson; great-grandchildren, Aria Johnson and Stella Johnson.
The family will hold a private service in San Diego, CA, at a later date.
