Barbara was born in Newton to the late Harry and Ethel (DeGroat) Powers on February 17, 1941. She was a longtime Newton resident prior to settling in Mount Pocono. Barbara was a Certified Nurse Assistant at Barn Hill Healthcare Center for 29 years prior to retiring in 2002.
A dedicated mother and grandmother, Barbara leaves behind her children, David Brady and wife, Beth, Donald Brady, and Scott Brady and wife, Jennifer; as well as four loving grandchildren ~ Mariah, Benjamin, Marissa, and Justin.
Services will be private under the direction of Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, Newton, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Barbara’s memory to the American Cancer Society, https://donate.cancer.org/?campaign=default&lang=en.
