Barbara Ellen Tufaro

Barbara was born on June 21, 1940, in New Albany, MS to the late Edward and Viola (William) Adams. Barbara grew up in Mississippi and Arkansas, but after getting married, she lived in North Plainfield, NJ before settling in Sussex County 20 years ago. Prior to her retirement, Barbara was a Licensed Practical Nurse at RCHP.

After retiring from nursing, Barbara continued to enrich her life and the lives of others through her hobbies and volunteer work. She was an avid ceramicist and scrapbooker, often gifting handmade items that brought smiles to her family and friends. Barbara was also a proud member of the North Plainfield Women’s Auxiliary and the North Plainfield Rescue Squad, where she generously gave her time and energy to support her community.

The beloved wife to the late, Joseph Tufaro, Barbara is survived by her children, Rocky Tufaro (Catherine), Brian Tufaro (Lissette) and Larry Tufaro (Arlene); her grandchildren, Michael (Brianna), Samantha, Larry, Anthony, Brian, Ally and Catherine and her great-grandchildren, Maddox and Arlo. Along with her parents and husband, Barbara was predeceased by her grandson, Joseph, and her 8 older siblings.

Interment will be held privately at Northern New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Sparta, NJ.
