Brian was born in St. Clare’s Denville to the late Gavin D. Archibald and Madeline Jachens. He graduated from Montville High School Class of 1984. Brian worked as a Land Surveyor and Machinist for more than 25 years. Prior to residing in Blairstown he lived in Boonton Township, Stillwater, and Sussex, New Jersey as well as Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania.
Brian was an avid sports fan; he loved both the N.Y. Jets and Giants, as well as the Mets, Knicks and Rangers. He was a classic horror movie buff, and loved cats and classic rock. Brian was an excellent self-trained cook and was fascinated with the weather, especially in the winter.
Brian had three older siblings, Linda, Doug, and Russell. He is survived by his partner of more than 10 years, Susan Cunningham.
A private burial is planned for Cedar Ridge Cemetery, Blairstown, NJ.
