Brianna Elizabeth Lawler, age 32, of Newton, New Jersey passed away after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease at home, surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Brianna was born in Newton on June 14, 1991 to Thomas and Toni Ann Lawler.
Brianna embodied the essence of sportsmanship with her passion for Field Hockey. Her keen love for the game inspired countless teammates and competitors alike. Beyond her love of Field Hockey, Brianna also played soccer, enjoyed swimming, and dancing. She participated in several plays and her school choir, with an appreciation for the Madrigals. Above all, Brianna’s friends and family meant the world to her and she adored spending quality time together. She loved watching football and hockey with her family, cheering on the Green Bay Packers and New Jersey Devils. Brianna’s infectious laughter and compassionate spirit enriched the lives of all fortunate enough to know her, and she will be greatly missed by many.
Brianna is survived by her beloved parents, Thomas and Toni Ann Lawler; her sister Allison Verga and husband Frank; her precious nephew and niece, Jace and Cali; her grandmother Jeannette Fierro; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Brianna is predeceased by her Aunt Marlene Fierro Schick; and her grandparents Anthony Fierro, Norma Lawler and Jerry Lawler.
Visitation for Brianna will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St, Newton, NJ 07860. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 10 am at Saint Joseph RC Church, 24 Halsted St, Newton, NJ 07860, followed by entombment at Saint Joseph Mausoleum.
