Charles was born on June 8, 1935 in Teaneck, New Jersey to the late Charles E. Sido Sr. and Violet (Lockard) Sido. He graduated from Sussex High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force where he dedicated four years as a jet engine mechanic. Upon his honorable discharge in 1961, Charles began his career in printing and photography where he met the love of his life, Doris. He continued his work in the printing business for 40 years before retiring in 2001.
In his spare time, Charles was a man of countless hobbies and talents. He enjoyed spending time outside fishing, swimming, and flying stunt kites. When he wasn’t adventuring outdoors, Charles could be found painting, drawing, and making jewelry. Charles also had a knack for woodwork and music, building his own guitars that he would then play. He possessed a natural ability to become a talent at anything he put his mind to.
Charles leaves fond memories to his beloved wife of 62 years Doris Sido; his daughter Laurie Best and her husband Kenneth; his three grandchildren Shane, Karlie, and Taegan; his niece Deborah George; and his nephew Richard Keslo.
