Dennis was born in Jersey City to the late Edgar and Elvira (Pasquino) Lear. He grew up in Jersey City and attended Rutgers University. Dennis worked in inventory control for Check-O-Lite in Jersey City prior to his retirement in 2000.
Dennis enjoyed the simplicity of the world, especially while sitting on the beachside with his family. He was a solitary man who took pleasure in peace and quiet.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Nancy Lei; his daughters, Koko Lear and Kimberly Burkel; his son, Dylan Lear; and his brother, Ed Lear.
Visitation will be held from 1 pm to 4 pm on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St, Newton, NJ.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Dennis’ memory to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be offered to the family below.
