She was born in Newark, NJ, to the late Eugene and Bessie (Bryant) Bubach. Dolores grew up in Bloomfield, NJ, where she raised a family with her beloved husband of 54 years, the late Bruno Petruzzi. They moved to Sparta in 1981, and then Dolores moved to Fredon Township 15 years ago.
Dolores enjoyed collecting knickknacks and was fond of country music. Her greatest love, however, was the family she made with Bruno. She enriched their lives with humor, family lore, and a love for animals.
Dolores is survived by five children and their spouses, including Dolores Slattery and her husband Jack, Rosemarie Deeney, and her husband Jim, Jean Papendick and her husband George, Thomas Petruzzi and his wife Michelle and Nancy Petruzzi Maurer. She and Bruno have 25 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021, from 10-12 p.m. at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, NJ. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at Newton Cemetery in Newton, NJ.
