George was born on December 23, 1950, in West New York, NJ to the late George C. and Ella (Raynor) Clements. George grew up in Hudson and Bergen County and lived in Morris County before settling in Sussex County over 25 years ago. George was known for his hard work and dedication, having retired after a long and successful career as a mover and owner of his own moving business, East Bergen Moving.
Outside of his career, George found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved crabbing and days at the shore with his kids. Faith was a cornerstone of George’s life. As a passionate sports fan, George was a loyal supporter of the Knicks, Mets, and NY Giants. George was deeply devoted to his children, always finding time to be with them. George was also a proud and supportive friend of Bill.
George is survived by his children, George Clements and wife, Daria, Joshua Clements and wife, Rachael, Dr. Meghan Kelly and husband, Dr. Steven, Zachary Clements and husband, Dylan Nixon and Elizabeth D’Ambra and husband, Anthony; his grandchildren, Samuel Clements and Tessa D’Ambra, his siblings, Joseph Clements and wife, Barbara and Louise Doyle and his former spouse, Sharon Brenner. Along with his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Cathy Arduini.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Sparta, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
