Born on January 2, 1943 to the late John and Pauline (Bromble) Cummins in Orange, NJ, Kathleen lived in Andover Borough before settling in Paulinskill Lake in 1967. Kathleen earned her BA and MA at Montclair State University. Prior to her retirement, she was a Professor at Sussex County Community College.
An avid reader, Kathleen had a profound appreciation for literature. Their home was always filled with books. Kathleen was a true artisan with the needle, deriving great joy from her embroidery and cross-stitching, her hands crafted countless beautiful pieces. Kathleen was also a dedicated member of Christ Church in Newton.
The beloved wife to the late, Carl O. Marquard, Kathleen is survived by her children, Jessica Caruso (Michael) and Jared Marquard (Stephanie) and her grandchildren, Mikayla, Gianna, Joey and J.J.
A memorial viewing will be held from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Christ Episcopal Church, 62 Main Street, Newton NJ, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral service.
