Ken was born on July 25, 1950 in New York to the late Richard and Virginia Jones. He attended and graduated from Old Tappan High School, during which time he was a talented athlete and was especially known to be an incredible soccer player. Ken worked and retired from United Water Company in Haworth where he dedicated over 20 years.
Ken will always be remembered as a smart, kind, funny, and loving man. Some affectionately called him the ‘Duck Man’ as he was always giving out little rubber ducks to make people around him smile. He was always willing to lend a hand to his family and friends and he will forever be greatly missed.
Ken is predeceased by his parents Richard and Virginia Jones, and his brother Peter.
Ken is survived by his loving life companion Donna Marie Clemente Hetman; his daughter Bridget Jones and Kevin Cobb; his two beautiful granddaughters Piper Grace and Lettie Jane; his brothers Robert of Rivervale, NJ, Richard of New Bern, NC, and Andrew of Atlantic, NC; his sisters Irene of New Point, NC, Nancy D’Amico of Northvale, NJ, and Susan Pike of Atlantic Beach, NC; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Ken’s Life will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 12pm to 4pm at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St, Newton, NJ 07860.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Karen Ann Quinlan Foundation, 99 Sparta Ave, Newton, NJ 07860.
