I’m so sorry to hear about Rob’s passing. In every one of my interactions, he was always such a uniquely positive energy to interact with. Such a dedicated guy, but that made time whatever he was doing, to appreciate some fun and positivity in the moment. To his family, friends and coworkers, I can only imagine how much he will be missed.

What joy your parents felt having a son and Lucinda becoming a big sister.   How happy I was to gain a cousin who turned into a rambunctious, funny,  practical jokester.  Growing up with you in our family was nothing short of an adventure.   What a smart and successful man you became and such a dedicated husband and father.  How sad and shocked we are to lose you.   I believe your  parents (my beloved Aunt Betty and Uncle Bob) met you at the gate and embraced their only son.  You will be missed.  Love Cousin Nina

Dear Nikki,  I cannot even think of Robert's passing.  To me, he will always be baby Robert - always spontaneous and with that twinkle in his eye.  I am so proud to see the family you and he created and think of your wedding day.  My heart is with you and yours.  Ive been living in Florida many years now.  Strength and love to you and your boys.

We are at a loss to truly express our feelings of sorrow for the unexpected and untimely passing of our dear friend Rob. His larger than life personality and humor as many have already expressed will be dearly missed. He was always a generous and giving person and would not hesitate to lend a hand to help out others. Rob's commitment to family was very important to him and we are grateful for being included as part of his family. We will cherish the many fond memories we shared together. We believe his spirit will continue to be with Nikki and the boys, Lucinda and her family, and all the rest of us that he touched.

I really wish Bobby and I had crossed paths a little more frequently throughout our careers in the AF. Bobby was one of kind and in times of stress and frustration, he was always the one to cheer everyone up with some laughs. He was one of the funniest and easy going guys around, although always first in the best way. I have/will undoubtedly miss his energy and the joy he brought. I wish the family well and send prayers for this hard time. Rest well brother!! We’ll miss you. 

Roberto was always smiling and was like a nephew to me and my family. I used to take care of him when I lived in Holmdel, NJ when his parents were working and opening their restaurant in Lincroft. He was funny and full of energy (sometimes too much). When he used to come to my children’s birthday parties he was always the center of attention in our videos. I love that he used to call me Aunt Maureen and I am so saddened to hear of his passing. Prayers for Lucinda, Nikki and the boys at this most difficult time. Rest in Peace Robert and Thank you for being you and being in my life. ❤️

Bobby made an impact on everyone he came across. His energy when he entered a room was unmatched. I don't know one person who's ever met him and didn't have a funny story. My family and I are praying for you all to get through this devastating loss. God bless you all. 

I miss you buddy. Your excitement and enthusiasm was unmatched. I've met so many people in my life but you were truly 1 of a kind! You were like a kid on Christmas Eve every day. So much fun to be around. 

You made every ride more fun and I really loved going racing with you but even more than that the fun we had going out to eat afterwards. The other customers in the restaurant were always looking at our table where we were all bantering and laughing it up. 

You were a family man filled of honesty and integrity, you were a great friend. You will be missed by us all every day but never ever forgotten.

Bobby was an outstanding Airmen and Port Dawg with an extraordinary personality.  We first met in the CRW around 2005, and he never failed to make me smile.  He continued to cultivate relationships even after retiring, and he called me on multiple occasions over the past year as I prepared to retire from the Air Force myself.  He was truly one of a kind and represented the best of us.  I will miss you  always brother!

You were always a joy and blessing to
Be around. We met way back in the AMOG and I always enjoyed hanging out with you. You were consistently the guy that looked to improve things and make them right. I always knew I could get honest unfiltered feedback from you. We lost touch for a while as we both moved up in the Air Force, but I was grateful when you reached out to me during my retirement transition. Your advice led me to my current role at Verizon where we reconnected. You have helped changed the lives of many transitioning servicemembers and I will always remember the support you gave me and strive to do the same to others, in your memory.

You were my very best friend in this world, my favorite person. The hole in my heart is huge. I miss your smile, your laugh, your embrace. Your presence would make a room come alive, I’ve never met anyone as charismatic as you. I know you are with me, but that does not make the pain any less. Thank you for being my husband and sharing your life with me. I love you always. Together forever.

I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our dear friend and fellow Airman, Rob Bello. It is with a heavy heart that I offer my most sincere condolences during this difficult time.
Robert's time in the United States Air Force was marked by his dedication, camaraderie, and unwavering commitment to his duties. I had the honor of serving as the Flight Chief of the recruiter who helped him to enlist in our Air Force.  Over the years, I’ve ran into Rob several times on McGuire AFB, he always expressed his genuine appreciation and respect to me for helping him become an airman and starting his military career in the Air Force.   His infectious laughter, kindness towards others, and good spirit made him easy to like and he was a favorite team player among his peers.  
As we reflect on the memories we shared with Robert, let us remember his courage, his resilience, and the many ways he touched our lives. The bond we forged in service will forever remain unbreakable, and as a Port Dawg may he continue to inspire those who still serve.
During this time of grief, please know that you are not alone. The entire Air Force community mourns the loss of one of its own, and the 2T2 community of Port Dawgs stands united in offering our support to you. If there's anything I can do to help, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Bob & I worked together at Verizon...while I only knew him a short time I could tell immediately he was a man of character & integrity.   He was always willing to get involved & lend a helping hand whenever possible.  I wish there were more people like him & I will not soon forget his memory.

I worked with Bello in Test and Evaluation Squadron at JBMDL, NJ.  When I first met him I knew his quick wit and humor would be unmatched, and cracked me up whenever he was around. He was professional when he needed to be but always knew how to have a good time.

I was lucky enough to share the same hobby riding dirtbikes in the state forests of NJ.  We could never keep up with John no matter how hard we tried. I'll never forget the dual sport adventures at Forked River Mountain.  So many fun trails and rewarding views. Rest in peace buddy. You will be missed by all.

To the Bello family, I send my deepest condolences. Bobby B which I loved to call him, was a supervisor, a mentor and most importantly a dear friend. We were partners on the basketball courts after we were done with PT in the mornings. We shared jokes and laughs about of topics in life and I will be eternally grateful for those moments with him while we served this country. And even after I retired he would make sure to reach out to me a few times each year to check on me and my family and also my softball coaching career. One last thing as well he would always call or text to check on my mother who he would just simply call “Ma” and she would love to hear him say that and it would bring a big smile to her face. That’s the type of man he was, always engaging and always willing to pass on knowledge and encouragement . I’m going to miss you Bobby B!!! LOVE YOU BROTHER, now go on and check with your supervisor lol you know what the statement means…..

Bobby was my sponsor and first introduction to the north east.  That turned it to an awesome friendship of picking on each other’s accents.  Our spot was the plumb tree in new Egypt.  Even though I didn’t meet Kathy at the plumb tree Bobby also mentioned she was from there.  He introduced me to one of my best friends Jason.  Together they took my Texas ass out to jersey shore.  

Bobby B - you will be missed and our ITV days will never be forgotten nor our one on one talks.  You truly always brought out the smile in others no matter the situation you made things easy.

It was an honor to know you and have served with you 🇺🇸.    It was like yesterday as I was reminded tonight by others.  My deepest thoughts and prayers for your family and all  who loved you.  Rest easy...

Truly one of a kind. I served with Bobby B in the 819th GSS in the CRW at McGuire. Always a great guy to talk to and he had the best stories and a great sense of humor.  My heartfelt condolences to his family and he will truly be missed. 

I served with Bobby in the 305 APS at JB MDL. As I've posted several times on social media, I wasn't very close to him, but he's one of only a handful of people that I've served with that I have zero negative memories of. Bobby was always positive and optimistic. It seemed he was always laughing and spreading cheer.

It's obvious from the outpouring of condolences on social media that he touched many lives.

Many prayers will be said for his family. I hope you find the peace that only God can provide. I know 45 years doesn't seem like a long time, but try to cherish the time you had with him as so many of us will.

In this photo he presented me my first ever decoration in the Air Force. He made it a surprise that day and he was super excited to read off the details of my medal. He was the first NCO that put true responsibility on me in an effort to grow and learn. I’ll never forget his mentorship and incredible personality. His character will never be forgotten.

Bobby was a great mentor to me during my time in New Jersey. The dude was slick with words and new how to push every button I had. He always pushed me to the limit and I know now that it was to help grow me as a NCO and as a person. We had fun times and not so fun times in the military together but I knew I could rely on him for anything. I regret not keeping in touch with him after my career was over, but there is not another NCO that I would have rather worked for or with. Rest in Heaven brother you will be missed. My condolences to the family, as well as or military family. We lost a true great one.
