Walter was born July 2, 1948 in Montclair, NJ to Dr Walter and Marie Miller. Wally grew up in the Lake Lenape section of Andover Township. He was a 1966 graduate of Newton High School. In his early years,
he was employed by the New Jersey Fish and Game. Wally retired from Newton County Club as head Groundskeeper. He had a great love of golf, fishing , hunting, and had a reputation of being a "Free Spirit."
Wally left many fond memories with those he walked with in his life. Wally had no children but was an "uncle" to Evan Torres and Glenn Holterman . There will be no funeral services, a private burial will be held at Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Blairstown, NJ 07868.
